LIVE WEBINAR - INTERACTIVE DISTANCE LEARNING
This advanced PTSD CEU and CPTSD CEU course provides structured trauma therapy training for licensed clinicians working with Complex PTSD, dissociation, and nervous system dysregulation.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Mastering Complex Cases: Trauma is an advanced live online training designed for licensed mental health professionals seeking a structured PTSD CEU and deeper application of trauma informed care principles CEU content in complex clinical settings.
This course integrates:
-
PTSD and Complex PTSD diagnostic refinement
-
Developmental trauma across the lifespan
-
Dissociation and structural dissociation patterns
-
Autonomic nervous system regulation
-
Sensory processing differences in trauma cases
-
Stabilization for EMDR phase of treatment planning, and stabilization strategies for dissociative presentations
Participants will gain practical frameworks for clients who present as treatment-resistant, chronically dysregulated, highly dissociative, or diagnostically layered.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Advanced trauma work requires more than foundational trauma-informed care. It requires diagnostic clarity, nervous system literacy, and the ability to integrate trauma informed care principles within complex case conceptualization.
In this PTSD CEU, participants will:
- Examine diagnostic considerations for PTSD and Complex PTSD (CPTSD)
- Explore developmental trauma patterns within trauma informed care frameworks
- Identify dissociation as it presents in-session
- Review structural dissociation theory
- Understand autonomic nervous system states including hyperarousal, shutdown, and collapse
- Apply Window of Tolerance assessment tools
- Address sensory hypo- and hyper-sensitivities within trauma presentations
- Differentiate dissociation from neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and autism
- Develop stabilization-first treatment plans
- Clarify when referral to higher levels of care is clinically indicated
This course integrates psychological, neurobiological, and behavioral frameworks to support ethical, evidence-informed trauma treatment.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this trauma informed care principles CEU, participants will be able to:
-
Identify diagnostic features of PTSD and Complex PTSD (CPTSD).
-
Describe developmental trauma within trauma informed care principles.
-
Explain the role of the autonomic nervous system in trauma responses and dissociation.
-
Assess Window of Tolerance patterns in complex trauma cases.
-
Recognize hypo- and hyper-sensory processing differences.
-
Differentiate dissociation from overlapping neurodevelopmental traits.
-
Develop phased, stabilization-focused treatment plans.
-
Determine when referral to higher levels of care is clinically appropriate.
-
