WHAT IS ADHD?

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by differences in executive functioning, attention regulation, impulse control, and motivation systems. ADHD affects children and adults across the lifespan and can significantly influence academic, occupational, relational, and emotional functioning.

This ADHD CEU provides clinicians with a research-informed, clinically applicable understanding of what is ADHD, how it presents in therapy settings, and how to apply evidence-based interventions.

She has experience serving the community by providing in-home family counseling, as well as working with chronic mentally ill adults in an outpatient setting and most recently provided clinical assessments for children receiving mental health services. Monet also serves on the Pride Acadiana planning committee and is a founding member of the Acadiana Queer Collective.
